Hello!

My name is Aarathi.

I’m a licensed Clinical Psychologist (RCI) and Level 2 trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist based in Bengaluru, India. I work with Indians and South Asians across the globe, offering culturally sensitive, trauma-informed therapy that’s rooted in compassion, collaboration, and Self-leadership.

With over six years of academic training and more than a decade of experience across schools, government hospitals, and corporate settings, I bring deep expertise in trauma to my work. I see therapy not as a space to “fix” what feels broken, but as an invitation to reconnect with yourself, your emotional world, and the inner wisdom that already lives within you. I believe that gaps in connection with the Self lead to mental health challenges. As your therapist, I guide you in turning inward to meet your parts with curiosity and care, to listen to the emotions, sensations, and memories they carry, and to move toward healing and integration from the inside out.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m deeply shaped by spiritual practices and wisdom of the land that I belong to. Indian Vedic philosophy teaches that the Self is not separate, but very much connected to Universal Consciousness. By integrating IFS with contemplative wisdom, I aim to support you in your journey towards healing and experiencing a deeper sense of clarity, wholeness, and freedom.

Moving towards being Self-led

As a therapist grounded in the IFS approach, I believe we all have a Self that is naturally curious, courageous, and compassionate. The Self is the core of who we are, the principle within us that remains whole and intact, even when life's changes cause us to feel fragmented. While Self cannot be damaged, it can become clouded and overshadowed by "parts" of us that hold certain beliefs formed from learning and experiences, leading us to feel anxious, overwhelmed, sad, or depressed.

During our therapy sessions, I hold a compassionate and Self-led space, and together we work to create a dialogue with your parts, allowing them to feel heard and understood, which ultimately leads to healing and integration. The goal of IFS is to help parts release the burdens they carry, improve the relationships between parts in the system, and allow the Self to lead. I also incorporate somatic awareness into IFS sessions helping you tune into how your parts express themselves through the body. It helps one embody the emotions and not just cognitively understand them, leading to deeper connection and lasting transformation.

Your safety and wellbeing are central to this process. I welcome your feedback throughout our work, especially when something doesn’t feel right or safe. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I invite you to communicate openly so that we can adjust and respond to what your system needs at each moment.

If you're ready to begin this journey of connecting with your parts, healing, and leading from Self, I invite you to reach out and explore how we can work together.

A bit more about myself

Outside of sessions, I live a life anchored in simple, meaningful practices. My mornings begin with yoga and meditation - rituals that keep me centered and present. Evenings often wind down with journaling, reading, or watching the sunset - quiet moments that help me return to myself. When I’m not in a session, you’ll likely find me around my plants, talking to them (no, I’m not going to admit that they talk to me as well).

I live with two affectionate, equally mischievous cats who bring equal parts comfort, fur, play, and bruises into my life. These daily rhythms along with lots of breath, stillness, and movement help me care for my own system so I can show up grounded, present, and attuned in my work.

In short: I’m a therapist, a cat servant, a kaapi lover (forgot to mention above), a firm believer in emotional honesty and a yogi who’s always finding fur in her clothes.

A prayer and deeper intention

At the heart of my work is a quiet intention:
That those walking a spiritual path also stay connected to their emotional life.
Not bypassing pain, but learning to meet it with presence, courage, and care.
That those doing deep inner work come to remember:
The Self within them is not separate from Universal Consciousness.
It is made of the same essence.

And as we come to listen to our parts,
And live from the Self with more clarity and compassion.
May that healing ripple outward, shaping how we relate to others,
To the earth, and to life itself.
Because personal healing is never just personal.
It is also a quiet act of restoration in the world.
